User Insight is the sole owner of the information collected on this site. We will not sell, share, or rent this information to others in ways that differ from what is disclosed in this statement.

User Insight Respondent Testing Registration

We sometimes recruit testers for our usability services via our web site. A visitor must first complete the registration form, which requests personal information, work experience, Internet and PC experience. This information is used to contact the visitor about participating in future usability tests and focus groups.

Aggregate Information

Aggregate information allows people and their businesses to be smarter about customer experiences on their web site. Without giving out personally identifiable information, we occasionally make aggregate information gathered through our usability testing, expert audits or focus groups available to our customers. This could be in the form of customer preferences analysis, trends, usage patterns, etc.

We will share aggregated demographic information with our partners, customers, and visitors to our web site. This is not linked to any personal information that can identify any individual person. In the event that User Insight works with a partner organization, any sharing of information with the partner will be done only with user's consent.

This web site contains links to other sites. Please be aware that User Insight is not responsible for the privacy practices of such other sites. We encourage our users to be aware when they leave our site, and to read the privacy statements of each and every web site that collects personally identifiable information. This privacy statement applies solely to information collected by this web site.

Notification of Changes

If we decide to change our privacy policy, we will post those changes on this page so our users are always aware of what information we collect, how we use it, and under circumstances, if any, we disclose it. If at any point we decide to use personally identifiable information in a manner different from that stated at the time it was collected, we will notify users by way of an email. Users will have a choice as to whether or not we use their information in this different manner. We will use information in accordance with the privacy policy under which the information was collected.

Notice to Users Outside the United States

In order to bridge the different US and European Union privacy approaches and provide a streamlined means for U.S. organizations to comply with the European Commission's Directive on Data Privacy , the U.S. Department of Commerce in consultation with the European Commission developed a "safe harbor" framework which was approved by the EU in July of 2000. This document outlines seven safe harbour principles. User Insight makes every effort to comply with those seven principles, and is currently considering Safe Harbor certification.
